I have finally finished my quilt top for this challenge and hope to get it quilted and bound in time to mail it off for the exhibit in March
My quilt is called "My Stars of Indiana"
My gr gr gr gr grandfather, Isaac Wilson, after significant involvement in the American Revoultion, removed to Indiana about 1809. He and four of his sons all fought in the War of 1812. All returned to their home in 1814, Isaac to continue as an Indiana Pioneer and the sons to marry and begin their own families. My quilt is dedicated to my ancestors who were instrumental in the not only the formation of our country but also the defense of that young republic and the opening of the westward expansion.
This quilt is made of reproduction fabrics and is designed from an antique quilt in my collection that is dated 1807. There is a post in the archives where you can see the antique quilt and its story, you can read about that quilt here:

I orginally had planned to travel to Sackets Harbor to see the quilts hanging, but I do not think I can spend the money at this time, so I will have to miss that part of the process. But, I will submit my quilt to their care and hope it is enjoyed by the visitors along side all the other wonderful entries.
